Sanmukhi Mudra

Shanmukhi Mudra is a yogic practice, a kriya using a Mudra or a hand posture and the breath. Though a simple practice, it is quite subtle. It prepares the person for Pratyahara, which is a yogic term meaning withdrawal or mastery of the senses. It is said that it improves the aura of the face and therefore people concerned with their beauty can do it.

No Prior experience necessary

Light stomach recommended

Duration – 1 session, 90 minutes

 

Empty Stomach Requirement:

  • Meals should be consumed 4 hours before class
  • Snacks can be consumed 2.5 hours before class
  • Beverages can be consumed at least 1.5 hours before class

Precautions:

Those with sinusitis and acute cold should avoid practicing Shanmukhi.
